Michigan State is one of the premier packaging schools in the United States and will have a booth at PMMI's PACK EXPO International this year. Smithers Pira will sponsor the MSU packaging school's alumni association, MSUPAA for the event.
The MSUPAA is an avenue for alumni and affiliates of a common interest to meet. The group’s booth at Pack Expo will bring together industry leaders, MSUPAA sponsors and Michigan State School of Packaging alumni for educational networking opportunities.
“Michigan State is an incredible source of talent in packaging design, engineering and distribution. We are proud to sponsor the MSU booth at this year’s Pack Expo,” said James Popio, Vice President, North America for Smithers Pira. “The opportunity to support a strong packaging school that is in such close proximity to many of our customers and our North America Distribution Testing Service Center is a tremendous opportunity.”
Pack Expo 2016 will feature over 2,300 exhibitors displaying processing and packaging equipment and technologies for more than 50,000 attendees. Attendees will include corporate managers, engineers, sales managers, plant managers, production supervisors, package designers and more from several consumer packaged goods companies.
