PIN Mailer Accreditation Testing

PIN mailers are used for the delivery by mail of Personal Identification Numbers to cardholders.

Smithers Pira is accredited by the UK Cards Association (formerly APACS) for the testing and accreditation of suppliers of PIN mailer services. The UK Cards Association is the leading trade association for the cards industry in the UK and has issued two Standards relating to the production of PIN mailers: UK Cards Association Standard 71 (Bank Card PIN Mailer Security) and UK Cards Association Standard 72 (PIN Mailer evaluation testing) which can be obtained from the UK Payments Standards unit.
