With so much attention being given to carbon foot printing and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), there is an immediate need to understand what each analysis entails are and why determining your own is so important. This webinar is designed to show participants what carbon footprints and LCA's are, how they are calculated and to walk them through a couple of case studies in order to give everyone a better understand where the results come from and what factors impact them most. The presentation will give packaging professionals and brand owners a better how to best utilize the LCA results to improve sustainability, reduce overall environmental impact, and improve their bottom line.

Gary Parker is Sustainability Director at Intertek. Gary and his sustainability consulting group support many of the world’s best known companies with their corporate sustainability initiatives including carbon footprinting and life cycle assessment. Gary recently lead the development of a packaging carbon tool for Asda (Walmart Europe). He is also currently working on these issues with Tesco, the world’s third largest retailer after Walmart and Carrefour. He has helped many suppliers to supermarkets meet retailer requirements, from small local suppliers to internationally recognized brands such as Coca-Cola, Heinz, Kraft and PepsiCo.
