Andy Dilley Senior Consultant at Smithers PiraAndy has worked at Smithers Pira since 1988 after gaining a degree in mathematics. Initially performing investigative testing on paperboard products and raw materials, Andy now concentrates on distribution testing.

Andy's role involves package distribution testing in accordance with published standard test methods (ASTM and ISTA), with a specific interest in environmental testing. Typical applications include lithium battery testing; thermal mapping and validation of cold-chain shipping systems; monitored impact testing to evaluate the g-forces experienced by devices and packaged goods; and subjecting devices to specific vibration profiles, including military standards.
