Alan Gillespie
Laboratory Consultant
Alan has over 12 years experience in packaging testing and evaluation and is currently Laboratory Technical Consultant in Smithers Pira's transit testing lab. Alan has a broad knowledge of packaging materials, processes, logistics and the supply chain, as well as experience in materials testing and transport of dangerous goods.
Alan has expert knowledge of the magazine sachet and give-away testing business, and has managed this area for more than 5 years providing testing, cost reduction and problem solving services.
During his time at Smithers Pira Alan has delivered a high level of service to clients, supporting them with understanding of testing, packaging solutions and damage reduction.
Alan is also an International safe Transit Association (ISTA) Certified Packaging Laboratory Professional (CPLP) Technologist.
